This is a controversial topic I have encountered in this spiritual life of writing. Well, I know it’s not I that write but the spirit of God who directs me to. While I ponder on what the Holy Spirit wants me to write about the center of a man’s life, I ask myself;
How am I going to start this discussion? _ and _ How will I end it?
· What’s the driving force of life?
· What entity is responsible for man’s survival
We are usually quick to say that money, ambitions/dreams, love and other things are the driving force of life. Thus man can succeed in the direction he takes depending on what drives him/her or where his/her interest lies. Yes, that’s a valid point being said which I won’t dispute. But the question is; how did man come into being and what drives man to desire what he desires? The answer is simple. Man never came into being by chance or by accident. Neither did man come into being through any evolutionary nor some magical means. Science can say whatever it thinks. Obviously, man came into being through the mighty works of the Supreme Being, God who is the Supreme Unadulterated Immortal Force responsible for man’s survival (Genesis 1:1…, ) and has freely given man or works in man the power to will and to do (Philippians 2:13). He is the center of life made manifest through His son Jesus’ Christ.
Sometimes, we tend to think that the lives we live is our own, thus we live for ourselves, forgetting that the breath of life granted unto us was actually given by God. Should He take our breath from us, let’s think about how we would be able to survive just the click of a second on the clock.
On the other hand, most of us consider life to be all about acquiring possessions. Well, we all love to possess valuable properties. It’s not bad at all, but when that becomes the central focus of life, it slowly pulls us from the love of God, and gradually draws us into the ditch of no return. The bible tells us in Matthew 16:26 “for what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Truthfully, material things (riches/wealth) don’t guarantee life. The only assurance of life is the believe in Jesus. Because He’s been made the center of life, our earthly survival plus our eternal salvation is granted through him.
God is the “life maker,” “the life giver,” and “the life sustainer” and has made Jesus ‘the way’ ‘the truth’ and ‘the life…’(John 14:6). You can’t know the way to salvation if you don’t know or haven’t accepted Jesus. Neither can you know the truth to a positively transforming life if you leave Him out, nor can you have life if you personally don’t have Him. The Apostle Paul said in Acts 17:28a “for in Him (God) we live, and move, and have our being…”
If there’s no God, then creation wouldn’t have happened in the first place. Meaning, there would be absolutely nothing in existence (no plants, no rivers, no earth, no animals, no man/woman). So the conclusion of the matter is; no God no life, no Jesus no life. Therefore, God created humans and gave us life, and to perfect life, sent Jesus to us so that we may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10b).
Evidently, God is life, shielding His children (His creation), and Jesus is life itself as well as the center of life perfecting and connecting God’s children to Him.
HOLY SPIRIT, WE PRAY THAT YOU HELP US UNDERSTAND THE TRUTH OF THE SCRIPTURE IN JESUS’ NAME… AMEN!!!!!!!!
