THE BLESSED

  • MESSAGE:

Whosoever is blessed of the Lord is blessed. Nobody can condemn, curse or successfully rise against him. Whoever attempts does that at his own peril.

And, behold, Cushi came; and Cushi said, Tidings, my lord the king: for the Lord hath avenged thee this day of all them that rose up against thee.

– 2 Samuel 18:31

  • SAD:

Absalom teamed up against his father, David, yet his devices and actions resulted to his own ruin. It is dangerous to try to overthrow someone who has the hand of God upon his life. The Lord fiercely protects those that he has called by name and has sworn by himself that he will never leave nor forsake them, so it is not for you to try to bring them down.

Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

-Psalm 105:15-17

GLORY:

The people killed Jesus to stop him from preaching true gospel to humanity, but what happened after his death till date? Jesus has been crowned as the SAVIOR saving the world, the one through whom humanity can attain eternity. He reigns and no power can challenge his authority. At his name, every knee bows and every tongue confesses that “Jesus is Lord.”

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

-Matthew 28:18

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:10-11
  • DEADLY:

The officials after learning about the resurrection of Jesus and how miraculous that was and how that could potentially lead even more people to believe in Jesus and the message he carries, bribed the guards to spread a false message that Jesus never resurrected but his body was rather stolen from the grave by his disciples. What is happening today? What is our evidence?

Jesus' resurrection has brough salvation, hope and restoration to all lost souls and to as many people who will hear the message of truth and open their hearts to him. In him we find peace, joy and love that knows no bounds. The resurrection that the officials intended to condemn has rather brought freedom and redemption from the shackles of sin and death and the gospel of Jesus Christ has been preached across nations and from generation to generations.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

– John 8:36

GOD’S HEARTBREAK

God hates the death of sinners. Do you know why? The bible says, if a soul repents, the Hosts of Angels jubilate in heaven (Luke 15:7, 10).

  • Then who can guess what happens when a soul is lost to sin?
  • Or, what happens when a soul dies in sin?

You can imagine. I guess it will be so heartbreaking.

To God, every soul is precious, so He intends to grant salvation to all willing souls without forcing it on them. Although salvation is free, God entreats the willing soul to initiate it. He sure loves to have all humans to attain that salvation, but humans often prioritize other things over their own salvation.

  • Why does God hate the death of sinners?
  • And what’s the indication that He hates the death of sinners?

God hates the death of sinners because, there’s no opportunity for repentance after death. The works of a man comes to an end the very moment he gives up his last breath. Since there is no second chances after death, we ought to live a holy life while we are still alive (Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 20:11-15). It is only the living being that has second chances. Even that is still not guaranteed because we never know when we would breathe our last. Second chance is granted to the living because of the Grace of God that abounds for us through His son Jesus Christ. Therefore, when a man dies sinful, his soul has no place with God and his kingdom. It is not for us to judge what might become of that soul, but the bible emphasizes that such a soul would be doomed to destruction __ which is the exact thing that breaks the heart of God. Due to that, He said in his words to Ezekiel; “Yet if thou warn the wicked and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.” (Ezekiel 3:19). Meaning, God has mandated every believer to warn his brethren who are erring from the truth to turn from their sinful ways so that God can equally save their souls unto eternal life.

Ezekiel 18:23, 32

have I any pleasure that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways and live?… for I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourself and live.

Oh man, is this not touching enough? That he who created you; he who gives and sustains your life; he who has the power to take your life from you, passionately entreats you to see a reason to choose life over dying in sin.

One Bible story that the above scripture brings to remembrance is the story of the woman who was caught in the act of adultery. The citizens were ready to stone her to death but when they sought counsel from Jesus, he didn’t condemn the woman. In those days, the condemnation was to cast stones at her till she died. That was the norm, but someway somehow, a simple question posed by Jesus put everyone off and that condemnation ceased on the spot. I think that condemnation never happened because Jesus (God) didn’t want the woman to die in her sin and lose her soul, because it was never in God’s plan to lose her to hell. That was a perfect second chance for her. Jesus pardoned her sins because His grace was sufficient. Grace abounds for our generation, therefore we ought to cease the opportunity to change from our sinful ways and persuade others to do same. Beloveds, I leave you with this quote, “say unto them, as I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turns from his ways and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die oh house of Israel?”

Oh, WHAT A COMPASSIONATE GOD!

Please tell a friend today, that God has opened his loving heart to us, you will break His heart if you die in sin. Ask him:

  • What will you do about it?
  • Which path will you take?
  • Will you change from your evil ways and live? Or will you condone sin and die and lose your soul to destruction?
